Reminder of our eligibility requirements to participate:
Students must earn 150 PBIS points by Friday, December 15th and cannot have 2 or more behavior referrals for the 2nd 9 weeks (beginning 10/13).
**Students have opportunities to spend their points within their classrooms on other items. If your child desires to participate in the PBIS event they must SAVE their points to spend on the event.**

📢EARLY DISMISSAL, Friday, November 17th📢
Valdosta City Schools will have early dismissal this Friday. Please adhere to the following procedures for SME's early dismissal for this Friday:
Car Riders: PreK, K, 1, 2 @11:45, Grades 3-5 @12:00pm. Please display your printed car tags in your car window.
DayCare: 12:00 pm. Please contact your child’s daycare to make sure they are picking up early. If not, make other arrangements.
VCS Buses: At 12:30pm buses are scheduled to leave SME campus. Make sure someone is at home to receive children off the bus.
**Be sure you send a written note to your child's teachers for any change in transportation.**
Also, we will observe Thanksgiving Break with no school next week, November 20th-24th.
We are thankful for all of our SME Families! Have a safe break!

📷Picture Retakes, Thursday, Nov. 2nd📷
If your child was absent in October on picture day, please send them dressed and with their biggest smiles to have their picture taken.
If you desire a retake picture for your child, please let your child's teacher know via Rooms communication to notify them that this is your desire. If the teacher is not notified, they may not know to send your child for the retake when they are called.
Reminder, if your child is not having their picture retaken, please send your child in their normal school uniform. Also, be sure to send your child with a jacket as the weather is beginning to change!🌡

📚🍂Storybook Fest & More AND Raffle Basket Presale 🍂📚
We are excited to hold on Tuesday, October 24th from 5:00 - 7:00 PM our first Storybook Fest & More Event! This event will include book character meet and greets, raffle baskets, bounce houses, face painting, and more! We will also have food trucks!
To gear up for this event, we are holding a Raffle Basket Presale for 4 of our featured baskets (pictures coming soon!). Beginning on Monday, October 16th, your child will come home with a presale sheet with 25 tickets. Fill out each ticket, add $20, and send back with your child no later than Friday, October 20th. This will be the ONLY time you will get this sale! Each ticket will be $1 for all baskets featured at the event.

We want to take a moment to thank SME's nutrition staff for all they do for our students and staff! We have many unspoken heroes in our school building and this group of ladies are definitely some of them! They are a part of the backbone that provides the "food for our thoughts" and they definitely help us to "Level Up" our game!
